Andrew’s background has been in the areas of Problem Management, Business Management, and People Development. Andrew has extensive senior management and consulting experience, working alongside key decision-makers in a broad range of industries.
Andrew has previously held a GM position, and several Project Management and Problem Management roles for organisations across New Zealand additional to his consulting work. He has specialist expertise in change management, project management and leadership.
In his professional role as a facilitator Andrew shows teams how to create a positive working environment while presenting a wide range of business concepts and topics. He is an experienced ‘problem solver’ and deliverer of concepts regarding the development of a problem-solving culture.
Andrew’s principles and frameworks are based on his nearly 30 years of study, observation and application of his experience from a wide range of individuals and organisations.
Andrew co founded Whaingaroa Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He trains and coaches Jiu Jitsu up to 6 hours per week. At almost 64 years of age he still competes in Jiu Jitsu tournaments fighting opponents sometimes 40 years younger. At a NZ/Australian competition in Melbourne he was awarded a silver medal in the Ultra Heavyweight division and won the outstanding competitor for 2018 trophy.
Andrew has recently published a personal development book, which is now available on Amazon on the topic of Habits and Rituals. This is a result of work he has completed with groups and individuals on mental wellbeing.
Recent projects with LearningWorks have included the development and delivery of programmes in areas of Business Management and Leadership, Project Management, Effective Presentation, Problem Solving and Decision Making, Safety in the Workplace and Risk Management.
